Discussion over the last month

As you may or may not know, we now have a developer's message board. We've been getting so much done, but we're not ready to release it all yet. We have over 200 posts regarding over 20 topics. Here's some of the new developments:

2 new game developers

We have 2 new game developers: MasterMilo and LuigiOK20. They both have Kongregate accounts, but not Wikia accounts. They will both test the game, and LuigiOK20 will also help with artwork.

Happy birthday to the wiki!

The wiki is having its first birthday on the 28th. Although the original plan was to release the game on that date, it will take longer than expected. Some ideas we're tossing around are:

  • Releasing a card game, to be played in the Forums
  • Releasing some future material early

and some other ideas. Any feedback can be in the Forums.

Trackersinterfacebot will be working on the wiki

We are planning to put my bot, Trackersinterfacebot, to work. We are considering putting game statistics on a wiki page so they can be read by templates and such.

Images lost By 2years-too-young

Due to my laptop crashing, I lost all of the created unposted images and will have to start again, I'll also be updating the progress page.

Newsletter halted By 2years-too-young

The weekly newsletter may be skipped a couple of weeks here and there, but hopefully I can publish them on time.

Production resuming By iggyvolz

I am resuming production on the game. I am hoping to get a full multiplayer/mobile game within a few months (see below)

HTML5 game coming soon! By iggyvolz

I make the games using Stencyl, a Flash game development program. It is being updated soon (I hope) with HTML5 support! That means you can also play on your iPod/iPad/Android. This is not under our control, but I'll post in the newsletter and my blog when it is released. Joysticks will be used instead of arrow keys. However, it is difficult and pointless to put in a save game in HTML5 and then delete when Multiplayer comes, so it will only be a demo until Multiplayer releases and save games will be hosted online. For more information, see this blog post.

New ideas By 2years-too-young

There are currently three new fightmon ideas that are not yet added to the New fightmon ideas page. Two of them will be added hopefully soon, while the third might take longer.
